What is the cost of a life reclaimed? Each week in Greene County, men and women are losing their lives in the ongoing battle with heroin, opioids, and other drugs. Children watch their parents die, families are torn apart, and our communities are impacted in countless ways. For the addict, there may seem to be no hope for a better life. At the Jeremiah Tree’s recovery ministry, the TreeHouse, we know that true freedom from the bonds of addiction is possible because we are seeing It lived out in our residents’ lives each day. Although we know that it costs approximately $1000 per month to house, feed, clothe, and mentor one of our residents, watching their lives reclaimed and transformed by Christ is priceless. You can make a difference in the life of someone’s son, a neighbor, or a child’s father. Your gift to the Jeremiah Tree ministries reminds them that there are people who care and believe that freedom from addiction is possible. Whether it’s a one-time gift or a monthly pledge, 100% of your gift goes into our programs. Each and every staff member, board member, and volunteer serves the ministry on a volunteer basis. The Jeremiah Tree is answering God’s call to rescue the perishing. Won’t you take a stand and become part of that effort? It is inspiring to see the change that these men go through when God begins to transform their lives. It is only by God’s grace and His providence that we have been able to be a part of what He has done here. Currently, we are helping the guys break their addiction to tobacco. This is not an easy path, but we don’t want anything to be a chain that limits what they can accomplish. We want them to grow in self-discipline and selfcontrol as well as the other fruits of the Spirit. For truly this is God’s work. None of us can do this without yielding to His work in our lives. Each day these guys get up and are given the love and tools to work with to continue their journey with God. It is an honor and a blessing to be working with God’s people in God’s work, and I invite you to come and become a part of our team as we watch God transform the lives of men who could have been that next statistic. Jeff “I love what I do here and what I am a part of. I consider it a great honor and a privilege helping these men grow in Christ and showing them that there is a better way — giving to them what was freely given to me.” Mike Hoffer House Manager Contact Us Give us a call, or visit us on the Web for more information.
