This letter went out to our supporters last week. The need is great. God is greater. Will you please consider donating?
For many of us, summer means taking vacations, planting and caring for gardens, lazy afternoons at the local pool, fourth of July picnics, and baseball games. For the Jeremiah Tree, as for many nonprofits, summer is a time when we see giving slow down, even as beds fill up. This year brings even bigger challenges. We have recently been blessed with the addition of a new staff member who is passionate about sharing Jesus with men in addiction. This increases our payroll costs, and we also face the rising costs of food and supplies coming out of a year of Covid. Our board is busy planning a fall Gala fundraising event that promises to be a pleasant evening with good food and a dynamic speaker, along with a pre-event silent auction and hors d’oeuvres. Our Gala is one of our main fundraising ventures of the year, and while we were forced to cancel our 2020 Gala due to Covid restrictions, God faithfully provided enough to keep our doors open.
However, our October 2nd event is still three months away and WE NEED YOUR HELP NOW! We are asking for you to consider a one-time gift of $100, $500 or more to help us continue paying our bills and providing food, shelter, and supplies for the TreeHouse and GreenHouse. As you know, men enter our program at no cost to them or their families. All of the costs of the full year program for up to 9 men, (housing, food, Christ-centered teaching and discipleship) are provided by individuals and churches who support the work we do. Donations can be made on the Donate tab of our website or you can mail your check to The Jeremiah Tree, PO Box E, Xenia, OH 45385.
Thank you for your faithful prayers and support for the Jeremiah Tree as we help point men to the One who can break the chains off addiction and transform their lives.
