The GreenHouse, the transitional phase of our program, also lasts approximately six months. During this time, the men are given the tools they need to be successful as they re-enter society. We offer financial and other life-skills classes, and they continue in Bible study, recovery meetings, counseling, meeting with mentors, household chores, and accountability. During this phase they pursue jobs, and learn to budget their earnings, paying a small portion of their wages to the shared expenses of the house. This becomes an opportunity to teach them how to manage household expenses and stay current with their bills. We are constantly looking for ways to add new classes and training to this phase so that our residents leave here well equipped for the next phase of life.
